Oh, wow that feeling when you achieve!

Yeah yeah yeah….

Let’s break this down…. You have chosen something you want to achieve – now be aware that your achievement can be STOPPING to make a cup of tea when you usually push yourself until you drop when you’re cleaning the house, or, getting your Cover Letter, Resume and Job Application ready to apply for that job you saw on seek last weekend.

You have set yourself some goals…

You have set yourself some goals …

  1. Put words out on paper and brainstorm this Letter and Resume
  2. Highlight the key skills required in the job
  3. Make sure those skills are reflected in my Resume
  4. Ask for help with my Letter

…and a timeframe…

  • I will have my Letter ready in early March
  • By the 15 March, I will have my Resume ready
  • I will ask someone to read over it by 17 March
  • I will apply for the job on 20 March

Wow! You’ve set yourself the small goals for the big goal, and a time-frame. Great work.

You hit ‘send’ on the application… and it’s done.

It has been prepared step by step, reviewed and sent.

Ahhhhhh sit back. You’ve done it.

One Achievement feels so good. Congratulations.

Just a little bit of crazy http://www.cmgconnect.com.au/just-a-liitle-bit-of-crazy/ Tue, 30 May 2017 10:08:17 +0000 http://37.60.246.60/~cmgconne/?p=54699 Many years ago, I worked for my parents who own a video production company. Because it is a family business, you inevitably end up wearing many hats and being the czar of many different jobs. I mainly managed projects and worked as a video editor. On production, there were times that I was called on to work as an audio tech and was made to wear headphones on long production days. In those days, having a really good set of headphones that picked up every nuance of sound was essential to making sure the client got what they needed.

Life is a string of experiences, some awesome, some challenging.

The vast emotions that we all experience can be draining and we all know that feeling of wanting to get past the tough stuff.

We’re all bit too serious I say…

So, get a little bit of crazy into your life. That wonder of laughing at ridiculous things, being silly and having some damn good fun. This stuff is so good for the soul, relaxes the mind and allows you to break free!! Not only is it fun, it’s such a fabulous release from the fast pace we embrace every day, and the pressures of life.

Hmmmm let’s see what that might look like…

The weekly shopping – what a serious bore – so grab your partner, a friend, a sister, a brother and go get that shopping done, swinging down the aisles with the trolley, throw in just a few crazy things, and then get home and unpack by throwing the items over to each other …. that packet for the pantry, shelf 4; that’s for the fridge; that goes outside! …oh yeah get each other running from one place to another. It is loads of fun, trust me, I’ve done it…we laughed until we dropped and guess what…

…we realized that we hadn’t thought a thing about what had been bothering us!
Yep, easy as that – laughter is a simple and free solution to feeling troubled.

Get some music going and dance…. seriously, do it. You’ll start to feel the worry drain from your body as you move and groove. Sure – close the curtains, make sure no-one else is home and grab your bliss. Release, be a little daring.

Just a little bit of crazy in your life is a strength builder, a tonic for your worries, a release for your soul.

Go grab some of this madness and start living….

Small Goals http://www.cmgconnect.com.au/small-goals/ Thu, 18 May 2017 11:14:43 +0000 http://37.60.246.60/~cmgconne/?p=54738 One of the easiest ways to improve travel photos is shooting in better light, and the best light is often in the hour after sunrise and before sunset. That’s because the light takes on a warm golden hue and hits the subject from the side instead of the top. t’s difficult to recreate the grandeur of a vast landscape in the confines of a picture frame.

It’s that block isn’t it? It’s the block in your head that says ….I can’t do it, I can’t put words together, I don’t know how to do this, I’m hopeless, I’ll never get a job….

STOP!!!!

GO WALKING, STOP THE THOUGHT, READ ON…

You can, and you will. You have the power; you have the want.

Who ever said you have to do it alone? We don’t travel this life alone. We travel alongside others. We connect, we network, we stand beside people on the train, we drive beside people on the roads, we talk to people in shops, on-line, down the street.

OK, so that’s sorted – you can, you will, and you already connect with other people.

So, give this a go…

Get a blank piece of paper and a pen, or crayon, or whatever…

Now, just spill out those thoughts onto paper –  just write your blahhhh!!! Write words and phrases and expressions all over that piece of paper. You could use these triggers for your thoughts …

  • I am so happy when….
  • My best friends like hanging out with me because ….
  • I’d love to have a go at working in….

Leave that piece of paper after your blahhhhh! and come back to it in the next few days.

Grab a highlighter and mark things on that piece of paper that you want to start focusing on. Choose 2, maybe 3.

Now, set yourself some small goals toward those things. Small goals I said!!!

Life is made up of lots and lots and lots of small goals that create achievements. From those achievements, we grow, we get excited and then we make more achievements.

OK? You’re on your way now!!!!
